In the year 2006 Locoroco hit the scene, being published by Sony Entertainment. It manages to be unique, as the japanese creator Tsutomu Kouno expressed his interest in creating something different from all the psp video games currently available. He noted many of them were just sequels to playstation 2 games, featuring the same graphic style and general gameplay. Its always more challenging to create something different, from the ground up. This always requires many hours of programming, and much caffeine. It took him nearly two years to complete the locoroco video game.
Although it was not super popular and didn't sell many units, it received such positive reviews and even a couple awards, so he continued the locoroco series and created two more sequels for the playstation portable. I give him credit, there is something very original about this psp video game. Really good soundtrack and colorful graphics.
